Good Morning Ladies and Gentalman,

I just downloaded AudioMulch Lastnight and played around with it...Havent Gone threw any tutorials just to get to know the layout how and what buttons tp push and play with, also how to figure out sound and how to create sound. with that being sayed I have muliplea speaker studio meaning that on my computer I have 3 Audio Inputs 2 in th back, one in the front along with a microphone, I would like to turn these on, What Inpute and output contraptions might I use to achieve this.

Also with being sayed I dont really wish to use tutorials, just know hows work flow around these questions as to days coming I will probably Have alot of questions,Please Post Pictures, steps taken so forth,Because Music is so diverse and you can get lost in the sound I just wish to get lost in the program also and learn tweek and use the creative mathamatical mind waves, to create music threw expressive interpretation of the heart! that cause rythmic spasms to the body! so thus as usualy tutorials tend to clog up the brain, from the learning experience!  as that is what happens with me and also with music well ya gotta tweek everything lol

Thanks

DJ Snipe

Hi Snipe,

You can configure which inputs and outputs the contraptions use in the 'Settings' menu. At the top of the panel on the left hand side, you can access Audio Driver > Audio Input and Audio Output settings and assign a physical input/output to each input or output contraption (eg: Aux Input 1 mapped to Soundcard Audio Input 1)

The best way to learn AM is just to play around and plug stuff into other stuff! It's pretty simple at a fundamental level but some of the contraptions can be more complex, especially the granular ones (Bubble blower, DLGranulator) and the Southpole filter. These really benefit from reading the included help documentation - but you don't always need to read the whole thing... you can click on the contraptions 'help' button and just check what the specific parameter for a contraption does. What sort of music are you making? People can probably give a good steer on contraptions to start with if we know this.

I've no idea how you can map a computer keyboard to plugins... I know you can do it in Reaktor - but you'll probably need to Google it and see what products are out there, I'm sure there are some around.

I use this for playing softsynths live in Mulch, it's a VST plugin keyboard with a MIDI out:

Hi Dj Snipe,

Before you get lost in the sound you need to learn how to play your instrument. Naturally this takes study and practice. We have created video tutorials to get you started. There are step by step videos with all the info you need to get started: http://www.audiomulch.com/tutorials

Here is the video for using VST instruments:

http://www.audiomulch.com/tutorials/beginners-tutorial-7-using-vst-instr...

You can also use the search of this website (lower right corner) or browse through the help here: http://www.audiomulch.com/help/welcome

Please do ask if you have any questions.
