"mute mode" for plugin automation

It would be nice to have a mode for automation that lets you put a mute object like the one for patterns in your normal devices only this one equals a value of 1.0000 and can be used for any parameter so you can fix 0.0 to 1.0 without any extra fiddling.

This would be great for toggling on/off automation sources in plugins as well as doing dry/wet routines and stuff. It could just be an option check box next to the parameter automation check box.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are suggesting... what you've written is very confusing.

Okay, so you mean being able to mute other contraptions like you can say with a LoopPlayer?

I don't understand this. Mutes are either on or off, like a check box. Where does 0 to 1 come in to it?

I will try to make it more clear.

It would be looking and behaving like the mute automation for the loopplayer only instead of mute it, it would make the highest value. With the box unchecked it would = 0.0000 until it was checked then it would = max value 1.0000.. or vice versa.

Even better would be a value selection input for that automation mode in the Parameter Control options so a check box could make it 0.750 or whatever.

Ah ok.. so you're looking for a way to easily toggle between two different values for any automation parameter. Is that right? Yeah, I can see how this would be useful. I think most likely it would be implemented as part of a future automation upgrade if/when I add different types of automation curves/splines etc.
