Tweeted publicly at Ross recently about AM development. Told him I was just wondering if there was anything in the works. Well the reply was a big resounding YES, and that AM is still in development and will be updated, but that he has taken on too much work recently, and so it has been pushed to the back burner for a while. But it will happen... :)

Thought you'd all like to know!

Stoked! Been using AM for 12 years, and no matter how much fancy gear I acquire it's the one tool I keep going back to for inspiration.

I'm late to the party but it's great to hear. Also been using for a longtime. Since the beginning actually and although I got into max and pd along with other similar softs, AM is still my goto soft to host VSTs or mangle/generate stuff. It is much more immediate to me than all those softs. The realtime aspect of it is unparalled.

Anything?

I doubt it, or someone would have posted it here. Leave the man alone. Have faith. Audiomulch still works fine as it is. ;)

I don't think asking a question about whether there is any activity going on counts as harrassing Ross. The lack of 64bit support is a a significant issue that prevents me from using it in the ways that I would like it to work. In that sense, Audiomulch does not work fine.

Hello, Mulch-User, Hello Ross,

I am still using audiomulch as my program to make music. I am having progress in my output, and i am bored by live fruits and any other programs I know. I use mulch in an 64 bit enviroment, so there are big patches, but no VSTs. I love its style, workflow, sound and naturalness. I am not limited yet, but it´s very exhausting to produce some new sounds. I want to make you, Ross, hope, that audiomulch 3.0 is definitly wanted by many and you will get even more lovers of Your mulch!

Whitelight,

I fully agree with your points.
I've never let the hope fall down, but can't hide Ross' silence has become disturbing and rude at this time.
Can't develop a software?
Make it open source or be available for a crowdfunding. I think one of these should be the fair solution. Otherwise stop complaining about environmental sustainability while there is no human one.

Audiomulch allows a deeply and spontaneous creative sound approach like no other, it deserves more consideration and respect and so it's users.

I'm still hoping too.

Maybe I can share some patches with You in the uploading area (there are only a few from other users, yet) to show You my success!

---Something to motivate Ross to get further----

I have an inactive trojana (a virus) on my computer, not my wish or work, so you should let your antivirus test the files.

I don´t know if they work, therefore, and I don´t know if the samples or audio can be upload, too.

P.S. (don´t allow "motu" to do changes on Your computer, it´s this virus)

I'm pretty sure I am gonna have to ditch Mulch soon, after nearly 20 years of almost daily use. More and plugins are being updated with 64 bit only versions, and new plugins, essential to me, are being released that are 64 bit only. If no update is forthcoming, Mulch will fall by the wayside, something I will be very, very sad about. :(

Latest news from Ross on Twitter today:

Me - Any chance of an update to AudioMulch for PC with 64 bit VST support? More updates are being released that are 64 bit only every day, and many new plugins are 64 bit only too. I'll be heartbroken if I have to stop using it!

Ross - Work is in progress. I'll release a Windows 64-bit beta at the same time as the Mac 64-bit beta. *Hopefully* late Jan or Feb 2020.

Me - Yay!!! Thank you Ross!

So seems there is still a light at the end of the tunnel!

Another little update from Ross on Twitter, "The new beta is still on the way. Optimism strikes again."

Hopefully he'll chime in on here again soon!

I really hope that this happens, as it's a great program and at this stage I have recommended it to so many colleagues and students that it would be terrible to dissapoint. Thanks for keeping the pressure on and thanks Ross for all of your efforts. I hope forward.

been awfully sillent for quite a while. i still have an older windows XP machine i can run audiomulch on if the urge strikes but i hate that computer for.. reasons.  is it foolish to hold out hope for an update..considering apple silicon and apple OS and windows 11 etc..

it would be really cozy feeling to jump into audiomulch on my apple silicon mac or to find an old thinkpad for $300 and throw it on that.

is modern windows OS friendly for audiomulch?

I'm still hopeful about an update. For now it works for me in windows 10 and windows 7 but I lost it on Mac.
