A chain of multiple notes is often my routine in Mulch.
If they are the same, I shall be able to wipe the first one like you draw a note in a pianoroll(certainly, you have to choose the first pitch)
If I test one, the keyboard shall stay on that step and in my sight.
If I want to jump to the next different step, the keyboard, staying any time, shall let the noteline,my thing of interest, free.
If I turn back to other things, the keyboard shall close at the cross or at any point of Mulch apart from keyboard, noteline, and contraptionpropertyframe.

Related: Creating Cords. With the modular controlling system, you can connect two basslines in a patcher background view. Of these the controlling one is normal, the others noteline is turned to pitches instead of notes and its output depends on the actual note of the first one.
If you want everytime a third you can enter it every step, wiping it, or you can enter the pitch in the connection. The latter way is good for automate a sequence of different pitches in the noteline about an octave.
A interesting aspect is the lenght of a pattern: if the controlled pattern is half in lenght, its for lazy users. But, if they have no integer multiples they will drift. The same way with the note lenght.
Advantage: the controlled have a different output, equal controlls , and (!) tie, as well as volume. And its for users that are not handy with intervals or want to save time.

Would be nice to shift notes, by semitones or by position in the pattern, like yet, but only the marked ones: when Ross includes copy and paste for patterns, you should be able to use those buttons of bassline for this additional handling.

PS to my last post: the pitch of the slave-bassline shouldn't be negative, only the pitch-oktaves(a second value). That's more musical, I think.

A pianoroll isn't necessary anymore: To finetune your sounds you could press a note in the sequence, hold it, drag it down- or upwards. The result is that it slowly change the pitch by semitones! Now you can hear what tone fits to your melody.
