Two categories of VSTi with regard to preset management:
1. VSTi's that manage their presets internally
2. VSTi's that allow the host to manage the presets.
So category #1 (VSTi's that manage their presets internally) work as should when choosing presets, saving the file and re-opening the session.
But, category #2 (VSTi's that allow the host to manage the presets) revert all chosen patches to the first patch upon a restart. Basically it resets all Program Changes to 00 upon a restart.
It's frustrating losing all my patch choices especially as the metasurface then can't recall the presets either and I have to redo all the work setting up the metasurface.

Use whichever system works? If there are no internal presets, use Mulch presets. If the plugin has its own internal preset sytem, use that, then save/back them up within your project folder.
