I've just installed v2.0.3 on an i7 920 pc (Win XP SP3).
I'm using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 firewire interface which worked fine with Mulch on my last pc.

Now when I go to enable audio in Mulch, I get the following message:

"The following error was encountered while activating an audio device:
Unanticipated host error (PortAudio error -9999).
Hardware input or output is not present or available."

I'm using the Saffire's ASIO drivers in Mulch.

Anyone got any ideas what the problem is?

Thanks.

Is the hardware connected, authorised and working correctly with ASIO in other programs?

The problem seems to be fixed.

For what it's worth, I switched my default audio device drivers to the generic, in-built one to see if that worked.
I was also using a different ASIO driver (Reaper's ReaRoute) for a while before switching back to the saffire again and the problem has gone away.

Glad its working now. It might be that another program had the device open and so the ASIO driver wouldn't let AM open it.
