We've worked out that this is a broader issue with some OSX plugins which display authorisation dialog boxes when they're loaded (ie when AudioMulch scans them at startup). This happens with iLoq plugins too if your iLoq is not connected. Apparently the Skip/Authorise button is disabled so you can't start AudioMulch.

I'm working on a fix, but for the moment the workaround is to reset AudioMulch to use a different VST plugins folder as follows:
1. Rename your existing VST plugins folder at [hard disk]/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST (e.g. rename it to VSTx)
2. Launch AudioMulch, go to Preferences -> VST Plugins and choose a different VST plugins folder (create your own such as [hard disk]/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/AudioMulch_VST). Quit AudioMulch
3. Change the original VST plugins folder name back to VST (the one you changed in step 1.)

If you want to use VST plugins in AudioMulch, you can copy them in the AudioMulch_VST folder you created in step 2. But note that plugins which require a click-through at startup such as the OP's SAFFIRE will still not work (and you'll be back to step one).

The problem with plugins freezing AM at startup is now resolved (in version 2.0.2). There may still be problems with copy-protection activation with some plugins when you try to use them. Please send feedback if you experience issues. Thanks. Ross.
