I wish there were an easier way to copy and paste single configured contraptions, or patched sets thereof, and presets for specific contraptions, between AudioMulch documents. As it is, reusing such items between documents requires much opening and closing and copying and pasting. Ideally, I'd like to be able to have these items available for access without so much fuss - ideally, from a source that's not another AM document. Perhaps it would be possible to have a browser much like the current one, where we find generic, "empty" contraptions, except this one would keep our own, configured items, ready for easy drag-and-drop into our current patch setup. We'd also be able to name our own items as we please, to identify them.
I haven't thought this through completely, and perhaps I am not aware of a better method that's currently available or possible. I suppose being able to just open two AM documents at once, even if they weren't both "live" and playable at the same time, would be a step in the right direction.

I agree this would be good. I've been thinking about it for a while. Pretty much as you describe: drag-and-drop pre-configured contraptions or sub-assemblies from/to the contraption palette to share them between documents.
