This idea may already be implemented somehow, but I think it would be helpful if chains of contraptions could be encapsulated into subpatches, for quicker access and to preserve workspace. Perhaps frequently used subpatches would be savable? This idea is borrowed from MaxMSP. In that evironment, any combo of objects can be combined into one object, which when double-clicked opens in its own window for editing. If this feature already exists, please let me know.

Hi, the feature doesn't exist but something like this is on the to-do list (although it will be a while before it's finished).

One related idea that you can do now is run multiple copies of AM and cut and paste patch fragments between them -- this at least allows you to build up a library of pre-build subpatches for reuse.
