Hi Ross,
It's very easy to create evoloving music with AM but I feel it would be really handy to have a dramatic switch from one scene to another. I'm envisaging a number of pages, each containing completely different contraptions etc so that it's possible to move from one to the other, preferrably with the ability to have both on the go at the same time. This would confer a number of advantages:
It allows DJ style crossfading from track to track, forwards or backwards.
It makes for a relatively uncluttered patcher pane.
It would allow for ABA, verse chorus etc style musical structures, (or with more pages, ABC type).
Since the pages would be discrete entities, it would be easy to create pages with a "different head" i.e. highly atmospheric to rhythmical, synthetic to organic etc.
If there were a function to enable or disable the pages, this could free up valuable cpu power.
I'm currently opening 2 instances of AM to chieve this sort of thing and mving between 2 pieces of AM.
What do you think?
Thanks
Gareth
Yeah. I dig this kinda idea. I wouldn't be looking for something incredibly complicated, but just something simple so I can go back and forward between different projects and audiomulch sets without stopping, and loading up a new document. The document switcher is cool, but it would be good if there was something available to move in and out of different projects a bit smoother, instead of having to stop and start again.
cool!
