howsabout a piano roll?
This would be extremely helpful with vsti as most of the time I dont really wanna play it out live and record it.
I'd rather draw it on a piano roll (a la fruity loops (except fruity is shite compared to mulch!)

This topic was extensively discussed in the mulch yahoo group (and maybe also here a little bit, use the search) with the conclusion that it will never come. Because mulch is and also wants to be different. Try searching this forum in the plugins area, there are some good resources for MIDI sequencer plugins. Since mulch finally supports MIDI wires, these are a good addition to mulch and provide you with this functionality.

"will never come" is probably a bit too strong.. but given current resources and priorities it is extremely unlikely (compared to say rewire support, which would let you use AM with any sequencer, and is definitely planned).

FYI - for mac users.. five12 is going to make some of the numerology sequencers into AU plugs.

and for reaktor users there are a handful of midi sequencers available.

also, audio damage's 'tattoo' sends midi and i'm sure there are others..
