I may have missed the information somewhere, but I can not find information telling me if Audiomulch is fully compatible with all aspects of core audio in the Mac version.

I would appreciate feedback on this.

Hello Tony

CoreAudio is Apple's software component for communicating with audio hardware. All audio software on MacOS uses CoreAudio, and AudioMulch is no exception. All our testing shows that AudioMulch works fine on MacOS.

Is there something more specific you're interested in knowing?

Best wishes

Ross.

Hi Ross

I am thinking about a Mac based multichannel player for my audio system. I need the capability to split channels and convolve with room correction impulses. If I use something like JACK I should be able to intercept from a source, go through Audiomulch, and then pass the outputs into my Metric Halo ULN-8 for output to the audio part of my system. This will give me the eight channels of output that I need but may come up against processing power issues.

At least that is my thinking - but I am sure that I will need to think some more and perhaps modify things.

Hi Tony

I think that should work. Just give it a go. I'm pretty sure people have had AudioMulch working with Jack on OSX without problems. Certainly people are doing things like this with AudioMulch on Windows.

Hi Ross

Thanks for your responses. Currently my 3 Macs are all PPC and I have been trying to get a feel for practicality before I spring for another Mac!

For a simple stereo case I think that I should be able to set Audiomulch to iTunes input and ULN-8 output - if I fully understand Core Audio capabilities.
