Drums: reframe buttons not responding + some ideas (global preset saving)

I've been digging back deep into Audiomulch recently, and I've noticed a glitch on the Drums contraption: the Reframe buttons don't work at all! I can't remember if they ever did since AM 2.x came out (at least with my configuration? I'm on OS X 10.6.8). I was on Windows XP at the time of AM 1.x and they always worked fine.

Also, I find it very tedious to erase patterns by clicking on individual triggers. Can't there be a way to "draw" patterns (and inversely erase them) by dragging the mouse over the grid while holding a key?

And here's an idea regarding contraption presets. I'm using an Elektron machine as a master and to switch patterns within AM. With dozens of contraptions, it can get messy quite fast. It's hard to keep track of which contraptions whose presets I've saved or not, and I often lose my patterns. It would be very useful to have the option to save presets globally to spare us the headache of saving presets for each contraption after every little edit. I guess it would be a bit like the Metasurface, but parallel to it. Maybe one could choose which contraptions are affected.

Hello le_kzgl,

About the Drums reframe buttons, as the help file says: "Reframe has no effect if the snap resolution is set to "visible grid." Maybe that's what you're noticing?

Yes "painting" in the Drums pattern editor would be nice.

About the "global presets" can you explain how this would be different from using the Metasurface snapshot storage to do what you want to do?

Thanks,

Ross.

Oh sorry, I hadn't realized there was something in the manual about this. Problem solved!

About the global presets:

With my current setup, I'm sending program change messages from my Analog Four to a large number of contraptions (mostly Drums), and if I change patterns (or reset the clock to zero) without having made sure that I've indeed saved presets on all the affected contraptions, obviously I'll lose all my changes.

So instead of having to manually save presets for every contraption, with one button I could save those (on the same respective slot) and not have to worry that I might lose them (and still use the Metasurface for something else completely - besides, the Metasurface doesn't allow to switch between contraption presets, does it?). It would just be a huge time-saver.
