.amh docs transferable between Mac and PC versions of Mulch?

I've been PC only in the studio since about 2000 (Atari before that!) but it looks like I might have to do some mastering work out of another studio in the coming months, which is Mac only. I was just wondering if the .amh files I save on PC will be able to be opened by the Mac version? And does the license let me download and use both versions, and in different physical locations, on different machines?

Yes the .amh files will load on either PC or Mac.

But whether VST plugins will load correctly is dependent on the plugins you use. Many work correctly cross-platform. Some don't. Some may require that you ensure that the file naming of the plugins is the same on the Mac as on your PC.

Yes the licence does permit you to run AudioMulch on multiple machines (either PC and/or Mac) for your own use. The main rule is you are not licenced to run a single licence on multiple machines at the same time (Rick Wakeman style). If the studio machine is not yours it would not be appropriate to leave the software installed so that other people could use it.

Hi Ross,

Thanks for clearing that up. All great news! I'll start finding out if all the plugins I use have Mac versions, pretty sure they do. As you say, will probably have to rename a few files, or load the default plugin patches, tweak to my own presets, then save as Default mulch doc, but it seems with a couple of hours work it will be easily possible to get it all up and running on a Mac. Great that I can run on multiple machines, just not at the same time. Studio machine is not mine, so I will of course uninstall it after leaving!

Best,
