Using Live as the master.

In Live (I'm using v7), select your IAC bus in the MIDI prefs pane; make sure Track, Sync, and Remote are all highlighted - it should also be selected as MIDI Clock. In AM2, make sure the IAC is selected in your 'MIDI Sync' pane, and that 'Chase Sync' is selected.

Press play in Live, and AM2 should follow.

In Live, make sure IAC is set up the same, but this time press the 'EXT' button that will have appeared in your transport. Select 'Generate Sync' in AM2 and press play. Bob, should be, your mother's brother.

If it's not working, make sure that you both AUDIO AND MIDI enabled, else you'll suffer a 'D'oh!' moment. I did have some problems using AM2 as the host (Live's tempo went straight down to 10BPM) although I haven't been able to recreate the bug.

Sorry, mate. I don't have a clue what you're trying to ask, there. What 'configuration MIDI events' that AM writes?

hello and thanks for help

Im on V6 Live on mac

weird because no midi messages seams to pass from the daw to AM and nothing more when AM is the master !

In Live
For testing it as master ;

we set only the OUtput on iacbus1
Track, Sync, and Remote are all highlighted as you said
Here I have : Midi clock type: song or pattern

Are the input must be highlighted in the same time
I read that it could cause problems

I have chek one more the midi config for iac its ok cause its working between Live and Logic !!!!

so it makes me confused when all should be working nice between Live and Au

I tried midipatchbay instead
no more result

could it be a mac problem
any ideas?

So, it works between Live 6 and Logic, but not Live 6 and AM?

I would say that you need to have the input IAC Bus selected, too - if you're using Live as the master, it's only sending MIDI Clock data. However, I haven't tested it without, so maybe switch it on? *heh*

Is it a legit version of Live? Sorry to ask, but I'm pretty sure a cracked version won't work quite as well.

I guess it could be a Mac problem - what OS are you running? 10.4, or 10.5? 10.6? If you're really having no luck at all, re-install both Live and AM2 (to their latest or most stable versions) and try again. If that doesn't work, maybe a re-install of your OS is in order?

Just out of interest, what are you using it sync'd for?

yes legit versions

AUdiomulch is in demo mode but I think all will be work within 60 days.
75 days remaining

Soundcard motu ultralite
OS tiger 10.4.11 maybe that is it

precision I have no results too wih Logic as master

dont you think it could be an OS problem ?

75 days left of a 60 day trial? Eh? *confused.com*

If it's not syncing with Logic either, I would think it could be an OS issue, yes. Have you tried running AM as the master?

Do you have access to a disc of OSX 10.5? The AM spec for Mac does say it'll run on 10.4, but it could always be worth a punt. Have you tried re-installing AM and Live?
