What is this for- I can see that Clock Stop automation has its uses but surely the clock has to be running in the first place to get to a point on the timeline that has a 'Clock Start' command???

I'm sure someone can explain it to me...............

Anyone know the answer to this- I would love to be able to send clock on off from AM- does this do that?

My guess is that Start is available from the parameter control dialog so that you can map a controller to it, and can be automated just because all mappable parameters can be automated. I don't think it does anything.

I could be wrong of course as it's just a guess.

That's very strange to have a parameter that does nothing!

This looks like the most likely situation to me - and it's what I use it for. Everything under parameter control has the same set of values and so even though it's not of that much use, you can assign transport controls to automation.

You could use it to position stop markers at certain points in a piece, then use a controller to press 'play' and start the piece again.

I'm gonna see if it sends the clock signal now...

I just tried it and it does.

Yes I guess that would be the scenario. What I was hoping for was that AM could send external start stop signals independent of the AM clock, but that's a different beast!

Sorry yes its a bug. I'll remove the option to automate clock start since it makes no sense.
