Drums contraption with individual outs?

I know this request goes way back, think I heard it first about ten years ago on the Yahoo group, but haven't heard any more about it in a long while!

So.... How about it? Add individual Outs for each sound in the Drum contraption, so we can pan or effect them seperately? I know it's possible to put each sound in a seperate Drum contraption to do this already, but it seems like a very wasteful workaround (in CPU and screen real estate).

And while I'm at it, and think this one was mentioned recently, an adjustable "shuffle" command on each sound would also be great!

Yes individual outs is on the long list of potential improvements that havn't reached the top of the priority queue. 10 years later I'm still thinking about ways to offer this in a usable way that isn't confusing and doesn't use extra CPU. It seems like there is some trade-off with making things overly complex and adding extra outs is right on that threshold.

Can you give more details about this "shuffle" feature. You know you can control-click to drag hits off the grid?

Thanks for the quick anf informative reply as always Ross!

I'd imagine for the Drum with multiple outs, you'd either have a separate out for each sound loaded, or you could choose a 4/6/8 etc. output version (like the mixers now).

Nope, didn't know that about the "off the grid" feature of the new Drum contraption, so will give it a go today, thank you! For Mulch I was envisoning something exactly along the lines of the TR-909 flam/shuffle feature. It soiunds great, and I found a bit more info about it on KVR: The shuffle of the TR-909 delays each even-numbered 1/16th by 2/96 of a beat for shuffle setting 1, 4/96 for 2, 6/96 for 3, 8/96 for 4, 10/96 for 5 and 12/96 for 6.

Maybe you could also adjust whether it swings the 8th notes or the 16th notes (or any other beat division)?

Thanks for clarifying what you mean by "shuffle". I have been thinking about something like that for warping the playback. It's definitely on the "sometime in the future" list.

i'd love individual outs on the drums contraption.. or a separate more complex drum contraption as well as the current one.. having the otion for simplicity is always a plus.

for multi outs i'd be fine w/a simple one out per drum sample always routined that way. track 1 to out 1 track 2 to out 2 etc.. even if it's less than thecurrent number of tracks.. 4.. 5 would be plenty.

i use some other drum samplers/drum machines/sequencer inside mulch from time to time but things always kinda flow better when using mulch's internal contraptions as sources.

I would like to be able to copy and paste bass & drum patterns as per the roadmap as soon as is humanly possible.
