Hi all

Quick question - is there a way to configure the Livelooper so that the tracks have independent, unrelated lengths. I'd like to be able to simply star/stop recording for each track without sync of any sort coming into play ?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Simon,

There is no "completely unsynchronised" mode, although it's an interesting idea for a feature addition.

The workarounds I can think of involve setting the sync granularity so fine that it seems like they are unsynchronised. For example: you could record a very short loop in track one, and set "Sync to: 128 Subdivisions of track 1" another option would be  "Sync to: 0.1 Clock bars of 1/128" (using a custom 1/128 time signature). The latter would give you resolution of 1/1280th of a 4/4 bar, you could use 1/256 or some other very high-res time signature if you found it necessary.

Does that help?

Ross.

Hi Ross

Thanks for the quick response. Yes that clear a few things up.

I'd already discovered that setting Sync to 128 seemed to do what I wanted.....but I wasn't sure why or whether there was a better way of going about it.

Would be nice to see this as a future addition.....!

Cheers

Livelooper is a contraption I have yet to dig into. It is somewhat intimidating, I find. I take this oppty to say I would love to see a tutorial on it, and/or a demo patch that would be simple enough to teach its basics.
