With this you could map your controller multiple times.
The Tab-Key (or mouse or MIDI) would for example change between Tab 1 (Delay & Reverb) & Tab 2 (DigiGrunge & Granulator) & Tab 3-?.
At the End of the list it starts at 1 again, shift-Tab goes the other direction
You could name the Tabs, rearrange the order , ..... :)

Yeah. I would call these "pages". I guess the idea is to have multiple pages and be able to switch between them. Only one would be active at a time.
This is somewhat related to having certain mappings that are only active when the contraption is selected/visible/highlighted
One way it could be done is when you set up a mapping you choose what "page" or "group" the mapping is part of, something like:
Mapping is:
[x] Always active
[ ] Only active when contraption is selected
[ ] Only active on mapping page A
[ ] Only active on mapping page B
[ ] Only active on mapping page C
...

No, no such plans. I'm not sure how that would work since AM patterns can be any length.
