Driver hulp?

Using an RME Babyface with Windows 7. I typically use the ASIO driver in Pro Tools 9 on my computer which works fine at 1024/7 but can't get the AM ASIO wizard past the first step without shutting down. When I use the Windows or Direct driver options I end up with some crappy key-press lag.

Have pored over the help files and tutorials but have hit a wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you got lastest version of driver?

You could try ASIO4ALL

Hi alotoronto,

So the whole program is shutting down when you go through the process of enabling ASIO in the wizard? That's quite strange. Is there any error message or does AudioMulch just dissappear?

Do you have any other ASIO drivers installed? Possibly there is something weird there. If you could uninstall any unused ASIO drivers that might help.

Also try making sure audio is disabled (in the Control menu) before going to the settings and enabling ASIO. That *might* help.

Let us know how you go. There is usually no problem using RME ASIO drivers with AudioMulch so we should be able to get to the bottom of this.

@littlepig this is RME, they have real ASIO drivers so ASIO4ALL is not applicable.

hey ross - no error message of any sort, audiomulch just shuts down without a peep after i click 'next' on the ASIO wizard. after trying ASIO4ALL and having the same problem i've eliminated/disabled all redundant sound drivers (AMD/ASIO4ALL/Creative) so that only the RME driver is active. disabling audio didn't help either. i could try re-installing the Babyface drivers but they work fine with pro tools right now so i'm reluctant to get into that.

If you're prepared to get into a more detailed debugging process please drop me an email at rossb@audiomulch.com and I'll send you a test version with some tracing information and we can sort it out.
