Hi there,

I've been using a Behringer UCA 202 and ASIO4ALL with Audiomulch for a couple of years and I've started to get a lot of noise from it so I'm going to upgrade to something new. £60 is about my upper limit - pretty low I know! - I wondered if anyone had any suggestions? I had a look at the Lexicon Alpha.

Inputs for guitar, mic and mini jack would be best; output to my mixer.

Acer 5735
Intel Duo Core T5800@2GHZ 2.9GiB
Windows Vista

Any advice or experiences gratefully received!

All the best,

Dan

I've got the Alesis iO2 (the 'Portable' model, not the 'Express') and it's a great little unit. Has 2 XLRs with phantom power, 2 guitar/line inputs and 2 inserts for effects etc. It runs on USB power so no need for a power supply and, what I think is it's best feature, it has a very solid single piece aluminium casing (the 'Express' doesn't seem to have this).
My only problem with it is that the outputs are a left and right phono but if it's going straight to a mixer then that should be ideal for you.

There's one starting at £60 and another at £65 on ebay.co.uk right now so it sits around the top of your price range but worth checking out.

Thanks prolapse, looks good but I think the one you mentioned had gone! I couldn't find it on ebay. A friend recommended the Tascam US 100 so I ordered that - will report back once I have it in case anyone else is thinking of buying one.

I tried out the Line 6 UX2 and it does work well with Audiomulch - out of my price range though.

Thanks

Dan
