Every time I try and post a message or reply I get a big red box saying the system thinks I am a spammer and I have to fill out a captcha. Does this go away at some point?

I suspect that frequent posts, frequent edits, or attaching links is more likely to wake the beast, but this is not backed by a great deal of evidence...
I'm sorry about this Matt. I can't explain it. We use Mollom for spam filtering and it does a pretty good job (it's rejecting 50+ spams/day) but the price is some inconvenience. If there was a whitelist I would put you on it.
We're in the process of updating to Drupal 7 for the website -- we can revisit this issue once the update is live. Until then I'm afraid you're going to have to persist. Sorry.
