Pane layout problems

I've somehow got my window panes vertically tiered instead of horizontal, which means that there is not as much room to display everything and I have to keep switching panes manually. I'm not able to move everything back e.g. I can grab a loop player but can't move it back up next to the Patcher window. I can't find anything in the tutorials or on Google about how to organise your layout. Can someone please tell me where/how to get my layout back to default? I'm running AM on Windows Vista
Thanks

Yes, we need to document this in the help file. You can grab the area at the top of the patcher and automation panes (where it says "patcher" and "automation" and drag the pane to a different location. They dock to the sides of the main window so if you drag the patcher to the top left edge you should be able to get it back to the original location. The place where it will dock is determined where the mouse cursor is I believe. Experiment with dragging to different areas if you're having trouble. Let me know how you go.

Thanks for that, it looks like I can shift things around to wherever I want to now - the windows are quite plastic in that you can virtually shift them anywhere.

p.s. I don't know how I missed this answer when I first asked it. I thought I must have imagined posting the question originally because I couldn't find it anywhere, which is why I asked again. Cheers.
