Preliminary support for VST 2 plugins has been implemented in this release, allowing AudioMulch to host VST 2 plugins capable of acting as virtual MIDI instruments and/or synchronising to AudioMulch's clock. As AudioMulch doesn't currently provide any MIDI sequencing functionality VST instruments must be controlled by an external MIDI keyboard or sequencer. AudioMulch currently uses the same windows MIDI device for MIDI parameter modulation and VSTi MIDI input. This device can be selected on the MIDI & Sync tab of the Settings dialog. AudioMulch allows each VSTi contraption to receive data from a single MIDI channel or from all MIDI channels. The MIDI receive channel can be set for each VSTi contraption by clicking on its icon in the Parameter Modulation dialog. You can display the Parameter modulation dialog by selecting its menu item from the Control menu, or from the pop-up menu displayed when right-clicking on a contraption editor's title bar. MIDI controllers must be enabled for MIDI data to be received by VSTi contraptions. This can be achieved either using the MIDI controllers button on the toolbar or by using the Enable MIDI Controllers menu item in the Control menu. As this is the first release of AudioMulch to support VST 2 instruments it is expected that there may be compatibility issues with some plugins. If any incompatibilities are encountered please send a full description of the problem including a url for the effected plugin(s). Developers may be interested in technical information about AudioMulch's VST 2 support available here. Bugs FixedThe following bugs have been fixed in AudioMulch 0.9b9 patch 1:
